Academic Communities

Learning in community provides numerous benefits, including a sense of belonging and encouragement and support as you navigate your studies at Brown.

The Curricular Resource Center’s team of advisors and mentors will help you build your academic community, connecting you to people and opportunities within your field of interest and across the University. Among the programs supported by the Curricular Resource Center are Departmental Undergraduate Groups (DUGs), which bring together students in the same concentration for events and activities, and the Theories in Action (TiA) symposium through which students can present their interdisciplinary work.
