Your IC course plan cannot be changed unless you formally request a change. First, speak with your IC advisor, then with Peggy Chang, to determine whether your requested change(s) are feasible and allowable. Then, fill out the IC Course Plan Change form listed below by the Friday before the end of the Shopping Period. Dean Chang will review your request and notify you and your advisor before the end of the Shopping Period.

All Independent Concentrators must complete a final project in their senior year that integrates the concentration's central themes, questions, and methods. Many students complete a one-semester capstone project; some capstones span two semesters. Those who meet the eligibility requirements for honors may consider completing a two-semester Honors Thesis instead. See below for information about both options. 

All IC-ers present their capstone or thesis projects at the Theories in Action symposium in their last semester before graduation, either in December or in the spring.
